The foundations were established for Fairfax Meadow training college in 1998 due to the skills shortage within the meat industry. This was to attract school leavers wishing to learn a trade while gaining a recognised qualification.
Working together with the Meat Training Council and local colleges we are able to offer a comprehensive training programme in all aspects of the trade, leading to the foundation modern apprenticeship in Meat and Poultry Processing.
The qualificiation has been opened to all personnel within the business to recognise the importance of each individual's contribution in maintaining an efficient and successful business.
Fairfax Meadow is an approved training centre with the chartered Institute of Environmental Health for the delivery of food hygiene and health and safety courses, which are delivered on site by our accredited tutors.
