The DAF 75.310 vehicles, equipped with Solomon refrigerated bodies and Carrier fridges were specified following five years successful trouble-free running of similar DAF vehicles at Derby.
The dual temperature vehicles are provided with rear shutters, rather than rear doors, to enable the cold chain to be maintained at all times even when parked on a loading bay awaiting unloading or loading.
Additionally these vehicles have been equipped with rear-facing cameras, linked to a display screen in the drivers cab, that give the driver a wide angle view when reverse gear is selected and increasing his awareness of any persons or obstructions whilst reversing.
As a further specification, the vehicles are fitted with factory installed trackers that enable the vehicle to be located at any time. Cab heaters, mobile phone communications, Transcan temperature printers and multi temperature fridge controls complete a complex specification to give a vehicle that meets the varying daily requirements of both Fairfax Meadow and our customers.
