Following their recent win at the 2018 World Steak Challenge, Mitchell’s & Butler’s restaurant brands, Browns and Miller & Carter have been accorded Great Taste status at the Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Foods.
Miller & Carter received a prestigious 2-star Award for their signature 16oz Ribeye Steak as well as a 1-star award for their Sirloin Steak – a previous winner of England’s Best Sirloin Steak in Foodservice. Browns received a 1-star award for both their Ribeye & Sirloin Steak, which of course comes from their own British cattle programme.
The Great Taste awards is now in its sixth year and is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink. It is judged by over 500 judges over 65 separate judging days so an award is not easily received. This year was no different! From over 12000 entries, just 37% received an award. It’s a stamp that can be trusted!
Again, huge congratulations to both Browns and Miller & Carter – it’s a real pleasure for Fairfax Meadow to be able to be involved in two such prestigious supply chains!
