At Fairfax Meadow, we’ve decided to support the local charity Doorways with a delivery of meat, to help provide meals for local vulnerable people.

Doorways Derby provide food, clothing and support for vulnerable people in the Derby area. Lisa from Doorways said “Thank you to Fairfax Meadow for their amazingly generous donation, this meat is going to make a huge difference to how we can help our community. Right now we are supporting over 100 vulnerable people across Derby every day, it’s worrying times for us all. We really are reliant on the kindness of businesses and individuals and welcome donations where available.”

Penny Tomlinson, Managing Director at Fairfax Meadow, said, “We’re proud to employ so many local people, across many generations, but we also understand that these are challenging times for vulnerable people across the UK. That’s why we decided to supply a free meat delivery into Doorways Derby”.

Penny goes on to say, “We also want to support our local community during the coronavirus challenge and have decided to open a pop up shop so that the public can stock up on meat for their fridges and freezers. It’s times like this when we all need to do what we can to help each other”.

The public can visit the Fairfax Meadow “pop up” Butcher’s Shop at 6 Newmarket Drive, Derby, DE24 8SW between 10am and 6pm, from Monday to Saturday. Major debit cards and credit cards are accepted.
