Fairfax Meadow are proud to be one of the founding supporters of Meat Business Women, an organisation promoting the fantastic opportunities for women to work in the meat industry.
At the recent online Meat Business Women conference, Laura Ryan global chair of Meat Business Women, announced the new international campaign to help encourage women to join the meat industry. The campaign is called #shelookslikeme and has been launched to change perceptions of careers in the meat industry, highlight female role models and encourage more women to join the sector.
‘She Looks Like Me’ will showcase the breadth of roles and career options that exist in the meat supply chain and feature images and video testimony from women who work in the global meat industry. It will run across social and digital channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter, throughout 2021.
At Fairfax Meadow we are proud to have female leaders on our board of directors. Penny Tomlinson is Managing Director, Zoe Davidson is Commercial Director and Jules Wade is People Director. This strong female leadership team are committed to recruiting and developing the best team members for roles across the business.
Jules Wade says, “Developing our people is at the core of our business. We recognise the opportunity to build and upskill all of our people through training and development, beginning with the post covid reinduction programme. This will build a stronger company for the future. The #shelookslikeme campaign will help us to showcase roles in the meat industry that may have been overlooked by women previously.”
