We are delighted to announce that Mitchell's & Butler's have won four awards at the 2018 World Steak Challenge — the second year in a row that their steak quality has been recognised

Both Browns Brasserie & Bar and Miller & Carter each picked up a Silver & Bronze Award, with Browns entering beef produced from their own cattle scheme, and Miller & Carter winning with both their highly prized Miller & Carter beef as well as their Black Angus 50 Day Aged beef which features on their around the world menu.

The World Steak Challenge, now in its 4th year pits steaks from across the globe against each other with 22 countries having entries this year — the largest ever! Each steak is judged by an independent panel made up of some of the top names in the industry from industry bodies to butchers to chefs, based on appearance, eating quality, aroma, marbling and consistency of fat trim. When a steak is being as intensely scrutinised as that, it is so important that every stage of supply chain plays its part. From the 2-3 years the animal is looked after in the field, to the 28+ days it is aged and butchered at Fairfax Meadow to the 20 minutes it takes to cook and serve the steak — every second counts!

We're proud to be involved with two such prestigious brands and their excellent supply chains! Congratulations to both the teams at Browns Brasserie & Bar and Miller & Carter — it's great to see recognition for such a strong commitment to a quality supply chain.
